OF THE NATIVITY

The Annunciation (Angelus ad virginem) opens this cycle of traditional Christmas carols, in a jubilant exordium where the solo harp - image of the Mother flooded with happiness -  is particularly virtuoso.

Then comes a succession of contrasting moods - from Douce nuit to Guillo pris ton tambourin, via La marche des Rois - and polyphonies essentially based on the principle of the canon, where the voices are multiplied in resonant echoes.

The succession is interrupted by a central interlude, a very free fantasy on the theme “Jingle bells”, entrusted to the harp alone.

And finally there is the concluding plainsong (Puer natus est), where the words have given way to the pure sound of vocalizations, while the harp slowly swirls the sounds of bells and chimes.

THE STORYTELLER OF THE CHAPITEAU

An initiatory tale between smile and emotion on self-revelation, rich in heady melodies for soloist, children's choir and instrumental ensemble.

MELIOR IS SAPIENTIA

For choir with three equal voices and string quartet, this responsory of Saint Geneviève exhorts the values of wisdom: “wisdom is better than the weapons of warriors”. In a subtle harmonic game, the music underlines the depth of the message, using contrasts between the voices and the strings, offering sudden breaks in tone and maintaining long resonances.

THREE CANOPIES
Like a whisper
Circle of diagonals
The song of the wind

BERNAT VIVANCOS
BERNAT VIVANCOS
O PURE MOTHER

He composed for the first time at the request of Samuel Coquard, director of the Maîtrise des Bouches du Rhône, a piece for children's choir with equal voices and harp entitled "O mother pure" from a poem taken from Beauchemin's Morning Blooms.

Music, open and timeless, has seduced singers like Rosalia and Jennifer López with whom he has collaborated on various projects.
